Dear Church, greetings from Sorocaba!

After the fast-paced start to the mission in Paraná, arriving in Sorocaba has been a gift. This city has become a sort of home base for this season, and in many ways the rhythm here feels surprisingly familiar. I’ve been staying with Tabta, a pastor here at HUB Church who you may remember—she visited NPPC back in January 2025! It has been such a joy to reconnect and share life and ministry together again. I’ve also spent time staying at Raysa’s mom’s home, which has been another sweet place of hospitality and rest. Raysa comes to our 10:30 service and is one of our SALT leaders!

One of the sweetest God moments happened during a Sunday service. Just as I was feeling a wave of missing home, I looked up and saw a family from NPPC sitting there in the congregation! It was such a tender reminder from the Lord that the body of Christ truly is global—and that even across continents, we are still connected.

After the intense pace of ministry in Paraná (11 sermons, 10 days, 6 churches), Sorocaba has given me a rhythm that resembled my life back home more than I expected. My days have fallen into a steady flow of sermon preparation, meetings, prayer, and connecting with local families and leaders during the week, while each weekend I’m preaching in different churches across the region. It’s been a powerful time of connection and ministry, and I continue to sense the Lord confirming the call He has placed on my life.

On Monday March 9, I zoomed in on NPPC's monthly persecuted church prayer meeting. It was sooooooo wonderful to see familiar faces and share about what God has been doing here in Brazil!

This month also includes working in a local favela ministry called Projeto Pé no Chão. They serve between 80–120 children every weekend, providing meals, care, and the love of Christ to the community. Thanks to the generosity many of you showed when supporting this mission, I’ve been able to contribute funds toward their upcoming Easter outreach. Some of the support raised has also already gone to assist families affected by the recent flooding in Minas Gerais. It’s been a joy to see resources shared in ways that bring practical hope and help to communities in need.

Later this month I’ll also be spending time in São Paulo city, participating in urban evangelism outreach efforts alongside local believers who are faithfully bringing the gospel into the heart of the city.

Next month I’ll be flying to Brasília, and I’ll also get a sweet slice of home there. A friend from NPPC will be visiting family in Brazil at the same time, so we’ll get to spend a couple of days together before I continue on to the next step of the journey: Goiás, where I’ll be based for the month of April.

Through all of this, one thing continues to become clearer to me: my call is not primarily to the unreached—but to the reached. To the church itself. To call the church to wake up again. The message that keeps rising in my heart echoes the words of Paul: “Wake up, sleeper… Christ will shine on you!” Jesus is coming back, and His church is meant to live awake, expectant, and fully surrendered to Him.

Please continue to pray for me. Right now things still feel exciting and almost “normal.” The longest I’ve ever been away from home before this was about a month, so in many ways this still feels like a short-term mission trip. I know the reality of a full year away will unfold over time.

Please pray specifically for:

* Health and physical stamina

* Boldness to preach the truth in Christ’s love

* Deep, unwavering dependence on the Holy Spirit in every place I go

I miss you all so much and carry you with me everywhere I go. Thank you for praying, encouraging, and sending me.

For King and Kingdom,

Audrey
